International Women’s Day Celebration 2025 – Luncheon
Pro-Vice-Chancellors cum Co-Chairpersons of the Women Academics Sub-Committee Professor Sham Mai-har and Professor Anthony T.C. Chan, along with approximately 50 male and female academic staff members attended the luncheon for International Women’s Day 2025, in support of the Women Academics Support Network among the academics. The Network aims to promote professional and social interactions among female academic staff through mentoring by senior male and female academics as advisors in pursuing their career goals.
Participants heard from the Co-Chairpersons on the Sub-committee’s work report and Professor Susanne Choi, Professor in the Department of Sociology, Co-Director of Gender Research Centre, and lead of the Academia Gender Equality and Leadership Survey 2025, also shared the preliminary results of the survey during the luncheon.
